Facebook Ads for Tech Products

I'm part owner of a tech products company and I run its Meta ads, so I'm testing the same strategies with my own money. Globe Throttle Marketing runs Facebook and Instagram ads for consumer tech, gadgets, electronics and off-grid power brands that sell online.

Why tech products sell on Meta

Most people don't search for a product they don't know exists yet. That's where Meta wins for tech. A 15 second video showing the product solving a real problem can create demand from scratch. When the demo is good, the ad does the selling.

What I run for tech brands

  • Demo first creative. Show the product working in the first three seconds. Unboxings, side by sides and real use cases.
  • Problem and solution angles. Lead with the pain the product fixes, not the spec sheet.
  • Higher ticket strategy. Expensive products need more trust: reviews, comparisons, guarantees and retargeting over a longer buying cycle.
  • Creator and UGC content. Real people using the product, run as partnership ads.
  • Launch campaigns. Waitlists, pre-orders and launch day pushes for new products.
  • Tracking. Meta Pixel, Conversions API and UTMs, so higher ticket purchases with longer buying cycles still get credited properly.

Why it matters that I own part of a tech brand

When you own a piece of the company, you care about profit, not vanity metrics. I know how margins, shipping, returns and customer support costs eat into every sale, and I build campaigns to make money after all of it.

Products this works for

  • Consumer gadgets and accessories
  • Off-grid power, batteries and solar products
  • Smart home and electronics
  • Automotive and outdoor tech
  • Audio, mobile and computer accessories

Frequently asked questions

Do Facebook ads work for tech products?

Yes, especially for products people don't know to search for yet. A strong demo video on Meta can create demand that search ads can't.

What ads work best for gadgets and electronics?

Demo videos that show the product working in the first few seconds, problem and solution angles, unboxings, and real customer or creator content.

How do you advertise expensive tech products on Facebook?

With more trust building: reviews, comparisons, guarantees, retargeting and longer attribution windows, since buyers take longer to decide.

Should tech brands use Google or Meta ads?

Usually both, for different jobs. Meta creates demand for products people haven't heard of, and Google captures people already searching. See our Google ads vs Facebook ads breakdown.

Do you help with product launches?

Yes. Waitlists, pre-orders and launch campaigns are a big part of tech product marketing.
